Braiding: Part hair into the desired section and apply product to the hair at the roots. Go over the section with a comb for a sharp part. Using a comb, apply additional product to the section and begin braiding. 
Locking: Apply moderate amount to roots and comb through new growth, then twist the hair. 
Smoothing: Apply a small amount to edges or tapered areas of hair. Comb or brush and smooth.
